About
I have spent 30 years doing one thing: making it easier for customers to find, understand and buy products online, and building the teams, systems and data that make that happen at scale.
That work has run through scaling a pet ecommerce retailer from $200M to over $2B before a $3.35B acquisition, owning the digital shelf for a $2B enterprise storage portfolio, managing 100,000+ SKUs across B2B and B2C at a national office retailer, and building the taxonomy, PIM and storefront infrastructure for an architecture and design marketplace from the ground up.
What I actually do
End-to-end SKU lifecycle. Creation, enrichment, taxonomy placement, merchandising, search optimization, ordering, retirement. Not just managing the function, but understanding how each stage affects the others.
Buyer and builder fluency with enterprise tooling. Enterworks, Inriver, Riversand and Agility on the PIM side; Bynder, Celum, Adobe Experience Manager and WebDAM for assets; Magento, Shopify and Commercetools for commerce; Endeca, SearchSpring, Algolia and Solr for search. I have implemented these, not just administered them, so I know where they break.
Operator mentality with technical depth. Training a computer vision model to identify materials from images, writing ETL pipelines, building governance frameworks for large-scale product data. That hands-on instinct is what let me lead 15+ person teams without losing the thread of what they were actually stuck on.
Why this site exists
Two reasons. The first is that most of what I know has only ever lived in internal wikis and in my head, and it is more useful written down. The second is an experiment: the field is arguing about how to be visible in AI answers, and I would rather test that on my own site, in public, with the results going into the SEO / AEO / GEO section, than repeat what a vendor told me.
